WEST Cumberland Orienteer Club members have been taken podium places at the Scottish six-day event.
Based around Oban on the west coast, it attracts over 3,500 orienteers for a week of competitions on some of the best terrain in Britain.
Thirty orienteers from WCOC travelled to the area to sample the tough and very challenging courses.
Day one on Dunollie produced a win for Katrina Hemingway on the 4.5km W16 course in a time of 45 minutes 34 seconds. Heather Wornham was 13th, with Hannah Bradley 20th.
Rosie Watson had a great run to take fifth in W18.
Michael Pearson, trying out his new hip, ran conservatively to take fifth in M65, one of the larger classes.
Pearson threw caution to the wind on Creag Mhic Chailein on day three with a stunning win for the 5km course, taking 49.37.
Rosie Watson had a brilliant win on Ardnaskie on day two for the short race, and then a third place the following day.
Hemingway has kept up the pressure with a second on day three.
Alastair Thomas, in the lower end of his age class, had two sevenths and a second.
Steve Birkinshaw has impressed on M40 with a fourth and a fifth Scandinavians taking top positions in many of the classes.
