The Network of Enterprising Women in Solway, or NEWS for short, offers an informal and friendly environment in which women can promote their work, make valuable local contacts and enhance their business knowledge.
Monthly meetings of NEWS – formally the Wigton Rural Women's Network – will alternate between mornings and evenings. They will have an informative speaker, followed by time to network and talk about current business issues.
It's membership includes established businesswomen, as well as those planning to start a business. The group focuses its activities in the Solway area, but has links to groups across Cumbria, Scotland and northern England.
Upcoming events include: Monday, December 1 at 7.30pm at Towey Toys in Wigton - Factory visit; Tuesday, January 6 at 10.00am at Greenhill Hotel - "Inspiring others" by Zoe Dawes of Chartwell Coaching; Monday, February 2 at 7.30pm at Greenhill Hotel "Effective Market Research" (part 1); Tuesday, March 3 at 10.00am Greenhill Hotel -"Tips on how to network effectively" by Hazel Duhy of Woodrow Services.
If you would like to book your place please contact Hazel Duhy (Secretary) on 016973 44905 or Jen Gillett (Chair) on 01768 484766 or email hazel@woodrowservices.co.uk.
