Man in hospital after Workington street attack

A man had to be treated in hospital after he was attacked in a Workington street.
The 24-year-old suffered injuries to his face and body after being attacked in Jane Street during the early hours of Wednesday.
Police said he was set upon by another man in the alleyway between the British Legion Club and Sadie’s Takeaway.
Officers believe the attacker had insulted him earlier near the taxi rank in Washington Street.
That man was described as being white, aged between 20 and 25, 5ft 8ins tall with short, dark hair and of muscular build. He was wearing a dark, long-sleeved top, dark jeans and shoes.
