Wigton Hospital Grand Summer Fayre on Saturday 18th June
Help us raise money to buy specialist alternating pressure mattresses for the benefit of the patients in Wigton Hospital.
The Grand Summer Fayre will open at 1.30pm and there will be a variety of stalls, including delicious cream teas; a barbeque; book stall; bric-a-brac stall; face painting by Alison Hurley; a Tombola; musical entertainment supplied again by the very talented young people of the Nelson Thomlinson Band directed by Mr Thorpe and a raffle with prizes which include Lunch for 2 at the Greenhill Hotel, Dinner for 2 at Wheyrigg Hall, a meal for 2 at the Royal Oak, Curthwaite and an 18.5 inch wide Samsung Syncmaster Digital TV.
Come and help us raise the necessary funds; we want to ensure that all the patients with limited mobility and who are therefore at high risk of developing pressure sores within the Hospital have unparalleled access to a mattress replacement system which is designed for the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers. These planned further purchases should mean no patient in Wigton Hospital ever has to wait more than the time it takes to inflate the mattress for it to be available.
