A Wigton man has appeared before a judge accused of trying to bite off his girlfriend’s nose.
Colin Jefferson, 47, of Waver Lane, was accused of biting Kelly Jefferson during an argument on December 31.
He pleaded not guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm at Carlisle Magistrates’ Court.
Jefferson elected a Crown Court trial and was released on bail until March 8, when will appear again for committal.
Until then, he was banned from entering Wigton or contacting Miss Jefferson, and was ordered to live at an address in Aspatria.
